Piano lamps are different then
regular lamps in several ways:
- The piano lamp in most cases out weighs other types of lamps; this is
so the lamp will be less likely of tipping over and causing damage to the piano.
- Lighting provided by a piano lamp can be adjusted and set at the exact level desired by the pianist.
- The shade on most piano lamps can swivel.
- Piano lamp models that take two or four bulbs distribute adequate lighting across the entire music
rack.
- Piano lamps are designed specifically for the piano - example: longer shades, adjustable arms, heavy
